Breakfast at the Wolsely

During a special trip up to London I was treated and taken to the Wolsely for breakfast. I have to say stepping into the beautiful building I felt like I was part of the carrie diaries or a lunch with the sex and the city ladies.

The Wolsey is the type of restaurant that needs to be booked weeks in advance to get into the main eating area. As it was a treat it was planned in advance and luckily we got to sit amongst the beautiful seats and elegant chandeliers. Whilst we got seated and followed the protocol of putting our napkins on our laps and having a browse over the glorious menu they asked what we wanted for drink. This was rather easy for me as I don't drink coffee as tea is a British icon I decided to dive in for the tea. After having a good look at the exquisite ceiling and wall art out came in gorgeous silver tea pots the tea. It really was very English with the certain way of pouring and drinking the tea but also very nice.

After reading the menu containing all the breakfast you could possibly want I decided on Greek yoghurt and for the main breakfast I decided to have kippers with a mustard butter. As the Greek yoghurt was like a starter or breakfast it came out first. It was the best Greek yoghurt I have tasted and after dripping the honey amongst the yoghurt it was the best starter I could have wanted.

Next came the kipper and it was presented in a perfect way as even the lemon was wrapped in a special casing that caught the pips as the lemon was squeezed on the kipper. It was very good and tasty as they had cooked it in a way that made it contain a bunch of yummy ingredients.

Overall the food was lovely and very worth going there however also part of the enjoyment was the building. It was beautiful and covered in beautiful art and decor. As you will see from the pictures it was very easy snapping some great snaps as the whole place was picturesque.

If you ever get a chance to go and taste and be a part of a great restaurant I would go for it. Although it does have a bit of a price attached to it, it is worth just having a look and a gaze at the lovely pastries and decor.

I WAS WEARING:

BELT: Primark
SHOES: Sports Direct
JACKET: A Shop in Barcelona

5 Top Tips On Revision

Hello Bloggers!

Sorry I have been M.I.A for a couple of weeks, it's just everything that seemed really calm before has spun into overload! I thought I would do a blog post on how I manage my revision schedule without having a breakdown!

1. Turn your phone off

I know especailly for socialites it feels impossible for two hours a day to just get off the phone. My advice is to turn off the phone, I love it and I understand why people love it also but its a distraction. My phone is constantly notifying me on facebook notifications, snapchats and instagram likes so turning it off takes me away from the social world and lets me focus on the real world.

2. Turn off the computer

If you have work to do on the computer I would skip this point but if you have revision to deal with this is the most crucial point. I am a little absessed with my computer and although it is the most amazing thing to be created it also can a distraction. Turn it off and put it in another room, sometimes I find I do turn it off but then it seems to speak to me and I catch myself turning it back on wanting to look at the latest news on Daily Mail or new posts on facebook! Give it to someone instead or tell them to hide it until you have finished your studies. I promise this will be a great way to keep focused!

3. Set a reasonable target

I think everyone has been in that situation when they set a huge target and then never complete it. This always happens to me and I have to say I am so tired of not completing them that I decided to set a smaller one. This could be anything from cleaning up clothes off the floor, tidying your desk or posting a letter that needs to be posted! These are all easily completed and makes your day a bit brighter. You can totally relate this to work as well, set an hour target for full on work and try and complete it. It is much easier to do this than a four hour work slot with no breaks.

4. Have a treat

Work can make you very miserable so my luxuary tip is to have a treat after you have completed whatever time your work slot is. This could be a choclate bar, a magazine, a computer browse or a bath! Anything that makes you relaxed and calm before you start some more work. Your body needs a break sometimes and its your job to do what your body needs to do!

5. Have a plan

Finally, sometimes I go into a revision trance without a plan on what I need to do for my hour slot. This is distratous as I spend at least 15 minutes wondering what to do. This is a time waster and not what you want before you work. Take time before the revision week starts and do a time plan! This could be in your diary or a planner and this can save your revision life. It saves time and you get a lot more done with a plan.

I hope these revision tips help, if you have big exams looming I would suggest starting now. There is nothing more relaxing than finishing work before you need to worry. I hope everything goes well for all of you!

M.I.F: Decorative Tea Light Holder

Another week has past so I have another M.I.F for you! This week I wanted to think it up myself! I know they have already been done before, but I have put my own touch on a classic DIY project! Today I have make a really sweet Tea Light holder that would look great in any room as you can personalise it right through the instructions!

1. First I got all the items I needed for this project!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

A Tea Light (you can find them anywhere)
A Jam Jar
Pellets or Glass Granules
Ribbon
Coloured Card or Paper
Scissors

2. I cut the card/paper to fit in the Jam Jar, this makes it look more personalised. I used pink card but you can use any colours to make it look good for you!

3. Then fill the Jar with glass pellets and wrap whatever ribbon you want round it, I used pink and red hearts to go with my bedroom!

4. Then add your Tea Light! This is the end result and really it took 5 minutes! I have put it in my room and it is burning brightly through the snowy days.

This is such a fantastic project and you can have a lot of fun creating and designing it for your own taste! The best part of this project is you can just replace the tea light every time so it will last a lifetime!

I hope you are having a great weekend!
